this picture is the epitome of my mix technique
raw material: I photographed this lovely blossom against a bright sky with a (pretty extreme) +2.66Ev
this is what it took to properly expose the petals, producing a wildly overexposed sky
I started the edit by dividing the raw material into hue saturation and brightness, and red green and blue, channels
the image is made up of an enlarged version of the picture modulated by it’s own saturation channel, combined with a smoothed, edgy copy.
